PROGRESS BEYOND BORDERS: ANNUAL DEVELOPMENT EFFECTIVENESS REPORT 2024

As the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD) celebrates its 25th anniversary, the 2024 Annual Development Effectiveness Report (ADER) highlights the organization's transformative role in fostering inclusive economic growth, financial empowerment, and sustainability across its Member Countries. This milestone edition showcases ICD's journey of impact and innovation since its inception in 1999.

25 Years of Development Impact: Over the years, ICD has provided nearly USD 7.58 billion in cumulative approvals and disbursed over USD 5.06 billion, reinforcing its commitment to economic progress. In 2024, ICD approved 24 total interventions worth $663.0 million with disbursements totaling $526.76 million.

Taiba Finance | Uzbekistan

ICD's equity investment of USD 5.1 million enabled Taiba Finance to:

  • Provide USD 50+ million funding for 500+ leasing transactions
  • Create 5,000+ jobs (33% for women)
  • Support local industries through USD 5.4 million local purchases
  • Contribute USD 192,000 in government revenues

Uzbek Leasing | Uzbekistan

Through a USD 15 million Line of Finance from ICD:

  • 17 SMEs accessed critical funding
  • 3,587 jobs sustained across various sectors
  • USD 536,000 generated in government revenues
  • Enhanced economic resilience through modernized equipment

Jaiz Bank | Nigeria

A USD 25 million Line of Finance partnership:

  • Supported 6 SMEs with Shariah-compliant financing
  • Maintained 1,055 jobs (961 for women)
  • Generated USD 11 million in export sales
  • Diversified economy beyond traditional oil sector

Ipak Yuli Bank | Uzbekistan

ICD's USD 20 million financing helped:

  • Finance 14 SMEs with 16 facilities extended
  • Create 246 new jobs (54 for women)
  • Generate USD 11.5 million in government revenues
  • Expand SME lending to 65.6% of the bank's portfolio
